Kim Dae-sung, who majored in sculpture, has consistently tried to combine sculpture and painting. His new works in this exhibition exude a more intense and performative 'painting-sculpture' charm. The invasion of color into the highly figurative sculptures goes beyond the concept of painting to complete the sculpture and implies the lyricism and technique of the painter. He seeks to project a frank and roguish interiority of primal desire, rebellion, and curiosity into the abyss of decorative beauty.
